Maruri Consulting was established in 2025 and run by Jo Maruri, accredited executive function coach and Masters trained child and adolescent clinical psychologist.

Jo Maruri trained as a clinical psychologist, specialising in children and adolescents in Sydney, Australia and is a past member of the Australian Psychological Society. During her time, she worked across NGOs, educational, private, and mental health settings, supporting both inpatient and outpatient families. Joanne assessed, diagnosed and managed educational, psychological and developmental conditions, ran parent and child groups for disruptive behaviours, self-esteem and anxiety.

In addition to providing care to families, Jo delivered workshops to school staff and collaborated with senior university programme lectures to support the creation of Australian norms for intelligence, academic and language tests in children.

Moving to London, Jo’s first role was working for a children’s charity as a Senior Trainer for adults who work closely with children. As part of her remit, Jo also took on a school counsellor role, supporting children through play and relationship building.

Expanding her skillset, Jo worked and led HR Learning and Talent teams across financial and professional services. Here, Joanne engaged in coaching, individual, team and organisational learning and talent programmes creating skills-based bite-size learning.

Now, following a career break, Jo undertook Executive Function Coaching and is now able to return to the elements of child and teen work she loved the most: helping school children become resilient, strong, independent adults taking on whatever life throws at them. Jo uses empirically validated, research driven solutions to help drive outcomes.
